What:
Last month we asked writers who have written a book (published or unpublished) to submit their favorite excerpt/chapter for a Book Excerpt Contest.
Who:
For this contest we’ve received six very different excerpts of varying genres: poetry, adult narrative, 'tween fantasy, and children's fiction. Judging these excerpts will be YOU, the Reader!
Why:
We want our readers to reflect upon all six excerpts, let us know which is their favorite, and provide feedback that we may share with the writers (via the anonymous submission form).
How:
We realize that it might be difficult to judge excerpts that vary so greatly in genre, like comparing "apples to oranges." But this contest is not meant to be done scientifically When reading these excerpts, please keep an open mind and think about which excerpt moves you the most.
