We’re catching up with one of our wonderful contributing artists, Seth Camm, who is preparing for an art show in November of 2012 at Noyes Museum of Art in Oceanville, New Jersey. This show will host the homeless paintings and documentaries that Camm has been collecting and painting for several years.

Camm is currently trying to get as much coverage as possible focused on the life of his mentor Odd Nerdrum, who Camm studied with in 1999. Nerdrum was recently sentenced to two years in prison by a Norwegian court for tax evasion.
“As of right now I am trying to figure out a way to gather artists and fans, patrons of his work, and stage a protest , or something like that in Austin,” Camm wrote to us.
Camm also shared with us some thoughts from his fiancée, Rebecca Coffey, who wrote on Aug 17, 2011, “Future generations will look at this moment in history with two criteria: 1) The gift of Odd Nerdrum and what his vision has shared with the world. 2) The level of mercy granted him by the Norwegian government. Which side do you think the future will empathize with? When you hear of artists from the Impressionist age who were put into debtors' prison, do you think less of them or do you lionize the government and officials who put them there? Norway, if you want to be the villain of this story, by all means proceed with this course of action.”
We wish you the best of luck on your show and hope that your and Rebecca’s efforts, to help your mentor, gain wide-reaching support!
