Luminaria

Literary Editor Nicole Moore at Writers Block at Luminaria; Photograph by Ben Tremillo

In March, the staff of Invasive Thoughts was contacted by Anthony “the Poet” Flores and was asked to help mc and read at the Writers Block and Tribute stages for San Antonio’s Literary and Arts Festival Luminaria. As both Brooke and Heather were in Kansas City helping to get Brooke and Chris situated into their new home, I was the only staff member rambling the streets of San Antonio that weekend. So I replied with interest and was soon contacted by organizer Victoria S. Garcia, who added me to the list of volunteers. Site contributors Sonya and Ariane accompanied me downtown. And during the wonderful evening, we met several poets and musicians. Some obliged and agreed to interviews, and others submitted poetry, photography, short stories, and letters.

Click on the links below to experience Luminaria as we did!

Sincerely,

Nicole Marie
