“Hope For Healing”

Mission Statement

Victims and survivors of sexual abuse and family violence will be acknowledged and remembered by the “Hope For Healing” sculpture garden. This will be a place of hope, healing and celebration of victories.

The hope for this memorial and its effects on the victims, survivors and their community would include:

A place to honor and validate survivors and all that they have accomplished.

A place to provide hope, empowerment, and inspiration to all.

Act as a statement of dedication to the steadfast belief that we can   do something about violence and abuse; as witnessed by the community and all who visit.

Encourage healing through the Arts and allow the artwork of survivors to tell the stories for all who have been silenced.

A place to empower children with hope and let them know that there are those who understand their pain.

A place to help raise awareness that will help to keep children safe from abuse and violence.

A place to provide a visual awareness that will give the at-risk caregivers of those affected by violence and abuse the encouragement to turn to help and support.

Providing a safe place for anyone who has been affected by child abuse and family violence to share their own personal stories, prayers, hopes and dreams by placing them in the memorial’s “Hope for Healing” chest.

A place to provide awareness, encouragement and support for all victims and survivors over the damaging effects of violence and abuse.

A place to provide a creative way to express healing, hope and triumph to all.

As with the beautiful butterfly, as it bursts forth from its cocoon…One act of courage can inspire many more.
