Dream of Angels

by Willie Garza

My journey is long and weary

within this realm of reality.

I'm tired and beg for sleep,

never finding my bed.

I awake in a strange place

and a new journey begins.

Numbness and hunger weigh me down,

tonight I shall lay and sleep

and slip away into my dreams.

I shall not awake in a strange place,

the journey no longer weary

as I have slipped away

with my angels.

Life of Dreams

by Willie Garza

I walk through time as in a dream

colors and life so vivid.

My loves and my children breeze by

in silence and almost as ghosts.

I’m unseen and unheard,

my words are meaningless.

I reach out with offers

of peace and love,

as they breeze by one by one.

This dream has become my life

and I hang on desperately,

for without it I have nothing.

A dream of what was

tucked away in the depths of my sleep.
