Love Letters to an Old Flame

By Jim Stewart c1978

I know its Getting late

But you were on my Mind

I started looking at some pictures

And your face I did find

Oh, Faded pictures

They age with the passing of time.

But Those faded pictures

Keeps you always on my mind

I know it's getting late

But you were on my mind

I found some old love letters

And your words I did find

Oh, Love Letters

They fade with the passing of time

But with those faded letters

You are always on my mind

I know it's getting late

But you were on my mind

I started drifting through my memories

And your smile I did find

Oh, those faded memories

They help with the passing of time

And with those faded memories

You'll always be on my mind

Old friends and Heartaches

c1988 Jim Stewart

There is a spot in my head

That was taking up space

Then you came along

And took over the place

And the fire started burning

and there was something to gain

And old Friends and Heartaches

Have brought me pleasure and pain

I think of you often

Even more than I should

Thinking about the what if's

Instead of the should

And the fire is still burning

And there is still something to gain

And Old Friends and Heartaches

Have brought me pleasure and pain.

It's been long since I've seen you

But you are still on my mind

I'd sure like to see you

Just one more time

But the fire has burnt out

And there is nothing to gain

And Old Friends and Heartaches

Have brought me pleasure and pain
