These pictures were taken with an Exakta Varex 11B 35mm
single-lens reflex camera, produced 1940-1960 by Ihagee Kamerawerk in Dresden,
Germany. The factory was bombed during WWII by Allied forces. The company was
then re-established by the Soviet Union, while in the occupation zone. Interestingly,
an Exakta was used by the main character in Alfred Hitchcock’s film Rear
